At Or Menachem we believe making hopes and wishes into reality plays a critical role in a child’s ability to handle and overcome difficulties. That’s why we established our “Granting Wishes” project.
Wishes Come True
A child diagnosed with cancer or other malignant disease, is a child taken away from a world of school, trips and parties, and forced into a world of fears, pain and anxiety. The emotional and mental change these children are going through is overwhelming.
This great distress is what made us want to try and fulfil these kids’ dreams as much as we can, with the help of our volunteers. We start by finding out what the child dreams of, and then we do everything we can to make it a reality: we help kids become pilots, policemen and even Chief of Staff for one day; we take them out to amusement parks and handout unique presents such as laptops and DVDs.
Our hope is to make these kids happy, and give them energy and motivation to keep fighting and overcome their illness.
