Our volunteer fleet
Or Menachem has over six hundred dedicated volunteers ready to do whatever it takes to help these sick children. The volunteer fleet is divided into two different groups:
Personal and family assistance
For the parents: After hours of sitting on their child’s bedstead, these exhausted parents need some rest, both to recuperate and to handle everything else in their lives. Our volunteers replace their seat on the bedstead, giving the parents some necessary time off.
For the children: Making children smile while they’re getting their treatment is a top priority for our volunteers, and they do whatever they can to keep them company with fun treats such as candy and various presents.
Transportation: Our fleet of drivers handles various transportation needs: From driving families and volunteers to the hospitals, to providing transportation for the various activities, and more.
Legal Assistance
In many cases, families with sick children are so busy fighting the disease, they’re often not aware of the possible rights and compensation they might be missing. But we are, and it is vital for us to help families understand the rights they deserve, and how best to claim them.
For that purpose we have a fleet of volunteer lawyers specializing in this particular field, dedicated to explaining possible benefits, assisting in filling out relevant forms, submitting to the relevant authorities, etc.
